Agent-friendly vacation rentals

What does agent-friendly mean?

An agent-friendly vacation rental presents clear, structured and current property facts that an AI travel agent can retrieve, compare and explain.

It does not mean surrendering your rates, booking relationship or property data to another intermediary.

01

Clear facts beat vague listing copy

AI agents need exact answers about guest capacity, sleeping arrangements, amenities, policies, fees, accessibility, suitability and important caveats. A beautiful website can still be difficult for an agent to interpret if those facts are buried or inconsistent.

02

The property needs a stable identity

A distinct Property Passport gives one rental a stable public page and predictable machine-readable formats. Agencies can create one Passport for each property while keeping the agency website as the direct booking route.

03

Direct-booking intent must be unambiguous

  • The operator has an owned website.
  • The approved booking or contact route is clear.
  • The property can be identified separately from the portfolio.
  • The guest relationship remains with the owner or agency.
04

Current and owner-controlled matters

Agent-friendly data must be correctable and revocable. Owners and agencies can update, unpublish and republish their Property Passports as facts change.

05

What it does not promise

Agent-friendly does not guarantee a recommendation or booking. It removes avoidable ambiguity so an AI agent has a better factual basis for deciding whether a property fits a traveller's request.
