Agent workflows help structure and maintain the data. AI travel agents, browsing agents, itinerary agents and travel tools can then read that data in predictable public formats. OpenStays is agent-facing infrastructure, not a consumer marketplace.
What agents can query
- ✓ Location, guests, bedrooms, beds and bathrooms.
- ✓ Room-by-room bed configuration.
- ✓ Amenities, policies, fees and rules.
- ✓ Suitability notes and caveats.
- ✓ Photos with descriptions.
- ✓ OpenStays Confidence Score and Agent Readiness Score.
- ✓ Direct owner or agency domain and public contact route where allowed.
What OpenStays does not provide in V1
- ✓ No booking endpoint.
- ✓ No payment endpoint.
- ✓ No host messaging in V1.
- ✓ No live rates or live availability.
- ✓ No private address unless the owner chose exact public address visibility and projection rules allow it.
Future bookability stance
Future versions may expose permissioned owner/PMS-provided direct-booking URL, availability-summary and rate-summary signals where they are safe, current and clearly sourced. Those signals must not turn OpenStays into the merchant of record, payment processor, escrow provider or booking intermediary.
