The setting: Elevated on a 27-acre forested property, extremely private yet minutes from town. The forest canopy and Nicoya Gulf views are the highlight; white-faced monkeys, birds, and wildlife pass through the property. On the property: Private trails, optional breakfast ($10/person, served to go or at the house), free parking, playground for kids on the estate. The location: 700m southeast of Rafael Arguedas School, Cerro Plano, walking distance to restaurants, markets, and the Monteverde Butterfly Gardens. Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is a short drive; Santa Elena town is ~10 minutes. Good to know: Self check-in arranged with your host, who meets you personally. English and Spanish spoken.
